This vintage we selected Pinot Noir grapes from our coastal estate to make our Rosé. The Pinot Noir grapes deliver a concentrated spectrum of aromas and flavours - ranging from the classic strawberry to wonderful hints of pomegranate. Beautifully ripe grapes were gently crushed and pressed in cool controlled conditions to retain fruit vibrancy. The juice was cold settled and racked to fermentation where we used selected yeasts and cool fermentation temperatures to retain all the bright strawberry flavours and crispness in the signature style of OTU Rosé. Marlborough Pinot Noir 2023 (6 pack)

ABOUT THE SEASON The 2023 growing season was fraught with significant weather events for all of New Zealand, in the form of tropical rain causing severe flooding and the devastating Cyclone Gabrielle. Still, Marlborough overall was blessed with moderate rainfall, a late but prolific flowering period throughout November and December, and a stunning late, long summer that allowed harvesting to occur at the optimum fruit ripeness. During the ripening period of January through to early March, a warm, but higher rainfall than normal seasons maximized the crops for the 2023 season. A sunny, warm and dry finish enabled the harvest team to bring in the fruit with ripe, fruit-forward flavours. Limited Release Marlborough Chardonnay 2023 (6 pack)
NZD 192.00Case 750ml x 6 bottles of wine. The 2023 growing season was fraught with significant weather events for all of New Zealand, in the form of tropical rain rivers causing widespread flooding and the devastating Cyclone Gabrielle. Marlborough was fortunately blessed with moderate rainfall, a late but prolific flowering period throughout November and December, and a stunning late, long summer which delivered ripe and concentrated parcels of Clones 95 and Mendoza Chardonnay from selected premium vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau Valley. A long warm summer with higher-than-average rainfall leads to grapes achieving high sugars and low acidities.
